I’ll aim to be
passionate instead

for what good does it do that I make myself smaller;

who gains anything if
I hide the things afire within me -

it’s much more dangerous
to forget how to burn
how to glow
in fear of
dazzling someone -

cold hearts
can’t warm no one

and I have decided
I’m not afraid of the fire
anymore.
